Philosophy
Ann Israel & Associates is a current and active member of the National Association of Legal Search Consultants (NALSC) and, as such, fully subscribes and adheres to the NALSC Code of Ethics. This Code requires us to follow certain ethical guidelines including:
- never recruiting a candidate we have
placed while that candidate remains
with the employer that paid the
recruiting fee
- not recruiting any attorney from the
office of any employer in which we
have made a placement for a minimum
of a six-month period following that
placement
- treating confidential information
relating to the client accordingly
- guaranteeing information provided to
the client shall be the most
accurate information known to
our firm
- never referring a candidate to a client
until he or she has personally
interviewed, screened and determined
appropriate as a referral to the client
- never withholding candidate information
which the client would reasonably
consider essential to its hiring decision
- referring candidates only after receiving
the candidates' express prior consent
- never discriminating in the provision of
our services on the basis of race,
creed, color, national origin, religion,
sex, marital status, handicap, age or
any other legally proscribed criteria
Additionally, Ann Israel is an esteemed past president of the National Association of Legal Search Consultants (NALSC) as well as having been a member and/or officer of the Board of Directors for over 11 years. She served on the committee that developed the NALSC Code of Ethics, is a past chairperson of the Ethics Committee and was the chairperson and/or co-chairperson of several annual NALSC conferences.
The 20th century presented the most difficult as well as the most exciting challenges ever to face the legal community; certainly the dawn of the 21st century will continue to put forth these very same provocative issues. We welcome the opportunity to address these challenges with you.
